CLARION FARM HISTORY

Port Cattle Company in Clarion County has been producing quality beef for over 25 years. During that time, brothers John and Scott Port have been dedicated to buying local cattle and producing premium beef. Within the last decade; however, they have noticed a trend shifting from many small, regional meat-packing businesses, who take pride in their product and their customer service, to three megacorporations controlling 80% of the meat industry in the United States. The packing corporations are sourcing beef from all over the world at the cheapest price. This trend has resulted in beef being available in grocery stores from unknown sources.

The Port family wants to counter this trend and put the customer back in first place by offering our quality, fresh beef directly to the consumer. Continuing the tradition of quality foods bearing the Port name, Port Cattle Company has brought back the brand name of Clarion Farms, a respected dairy in Clarion County during the 1940's. Now John and Scott Port, along with a new generation of Ports, continue the tradition of marketing quality products directly to the local community and offer Clarion Farms Premium Beef to you at their family farm.
