Meet the Farmers of Clarion Farms When you know your farmer, you can trust that your food is healthy and wholesome. |

Scott and his niece, Katie, are pictured to the right. Scott manages the health and nutrition of the cattle herd, as well as acting as accounts manager. Katie attends Slippery Rock University and, when at home, she is most often involved in greeting customers in the farm market, answering questions about how our beef is raised and suggesting cuts of beef to fit customers’ needs. Katie can also be spotted on the tractor during hay season, a skill of which others at Slippery Rock University are envious! |

Margy, who has been married to John for more than thirty years, was raised in the Harrisburg area and embraces life on the farm when she is not educating students with hearing loss! Her contribution includes making signs that alert buyers to the advantages of not only the delicious beef that is raised on Clarion Farms, but also the other meats, dairy products, produce, and fruits that are produced at family farms and sold in The Beef Barn, Clarion Farms’ farm market. She, too, can drive a tractor! |

John and his son, John-Scott, are responsible for crop production and beef marketing. Both father and son have degrees from Penn State University: John, a business management major, and John-Scott, a recent graduate in Agricultural Sciences with an International Agriculture minor. John-Scott maintains an agricultural commentary blog, as well as being involved in the day-to-day management of Port Cattle Company with his uncle and father. The Clarion County Farmers’ Market, and the on-site farm market, The Beef Barn, are also his areas of interest. |
