Saturday in the Strip District!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, PITTSBURGH!!!!!

It’s Saturday, and that means I’m headed south with coolers full of beef from our farm for your family.  Find me in the Strip District at 2216 Penn Avenue beside the extraordinary Bar Marco from 9-12.  Bundle up: it’s going to be a brisk one!

I read an article this week that blasted local food – especially beef, surprise, surprise – for being a misguided and ecologically damaging effort.  My dear friends, local food cements the most fundamental freedom of feeding oneself and one’s family into a powerful reality.  Your visit to our market stand each week represents so much more than just a good meal; it’s a vehicle for independence at the most powerful level.  Let them have your money, car, and your clothing brands, but don’t let the jerks take your food source away.  This is as real as it gets: our family actually does sort, pack, and deliver each piece of beef you pick out to take home.

Oh, remember, starting in March we’re going bagless!!  Train yourself now: bring coolers, reusable bags, mules, or your children to pack beef out of the Strip, because plastic is a thing of the past.  I’ll have some very cool reusable Clarion Farms logo bags from All American Awards for $2 if you’re in a pinch.

Remember your bags!
