Wednesday: The BEST day to live in Clarion!
Korean street tacos by Darren at Daddy's Main Street.
Should I say that again? Ahem: Korean street tacos by Darren at Daddy's Main Street.
I just wanted to emphasize how good those look. Guess what? Something quite similar is on the menu for our Winter Tour: Frozen on the Farm! coming up on Saturday, February 23. This event celebrates winter, a season that has most people holed up and depressed under their new weighted blankets. But you? You don't mind a nip in the air and a drip at the end of your nose, right? Sign up in the Beef Barn. We're not anywhere close to sold out, so if you've been waiting to see if there is room, rest assured. We'll eat beef, talk, and look at cows. That, friends, is a good evening.
Anyhow, shameless plug aside, what the heck did I get on here to talk about? Oh,
Wednesdays are the BEST day to live in Clarion because we re-stock the Beef Barn with a huge selection of our steaks, roasts, and ground beef.
Here's what I'm excited about this week:
SKIRT STEAK. Awesome for stir-fry, tacos, and a multitude of delicious recipes (just Google it), skirt steaks are a good way to acknowledge that there is more to a steer than ribeyes, strip steaks, and ground beef. I've been obsessed with these buttery pieces of beef recently.
Petite Tenders: They look like filet, they eat like filet, but they don't cost near as much as filet. Tender, inexpensive, and very popular, Petites are the steak version of Bigfoot - everyone is looking but only a few outliers have proof of existence. If you see one, grab it and take a picture!
Pot Pies from Prohibition Pastries - They're re-stocked! Clarion Farms Beef in a homemade ready to eat package. Enough said.
Last week I mentioned we have some new products that will thrill the masses; in typical overzealous fashion, I jumped the gun. Everything will be in next week. Patience, patience.
I've gone overboard on rambling today. Don't be afraid of the weather, come to the Beef Barn and enjoy all the goodness! #DestinationClarion
